What to expect from your physiotherapy session…
How long is my appointment?
An initial consultation takes 40 minutes, including an assessment and treatment. Review appointments are usually 30 minutes, unless your physio feels you require longer.
What should I wear?
We may require you to expose the area to be assessed and treated. It is appropriate therefore, to wear loose comfortable clothing. We would advise you to wear a vest for neck/upper back or shoulder problems and shorts for lower back or lower limb issues.
Can I claim for physiotherapy treatment using my health insurance?
It is advisable to check with your health insurance provider prior to treatment if physiotherapy is covered by your policy. If treatment is authorised, we ask that you bring all details with you to your first appointment (authorisation numbers, number of allocated treatments etc).
PLEASE NOTE
Failure to attend an appointment without prior notice will result in a charge. If you fail to attend subsequent appointments, you may be removed from practice list and unable to book any further apointments. We also require 24hours notice for any cancellations; failure to provide this will also result in a charge.
