Ultrasound-Guided Injections

Our Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist provides safe, ultrasound-guided joint injections to support recovery, reduce pain, and improve mobility.

We offer corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid injections for conditions such as shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle pain.

All appointments are triaged first to ensure injections are appropriate and part of a complete treatment plan.

POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound)

POCUS is a cutting-edge diagnostic tool that allows our physiotherapists to see inside the body in real time using ultrasound imaging. It helps us confirm injuries, monitor healing, and guide treatment decisions — giving you faster, more accurate answers during your assessment.

We use POCUS to view muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints, helping to identify issues such as:

Muscle tears
Tendon injuries
Ligament damage
Joint swelling
Bursitis

POCUS lets us tailor your rehabilitation with confidence — knowing exactly what we’re treating, tracking progress visually and adjusting treatment as tissues heal.

(Note: POCUS is not used for pregnancy, cancer screening, assessing lumps and bumps or internal organ imaging. If another type of scan is needed, we’ll help refer you to the right service.)

Complex Case Consultations

For patients who’ve failed standard treatment or need a deeper diagnostic approach.

These services are ideal for patients who have not responded to standard physiotherapy or who require a deeper clinical review before progressing to rehabilitation.

Our specialists work closely with the wider Elite Physiotherapy team, ensuring that every treatment pathway transitions smoothly into structured rehab and long-term recovery.

My physio was easy to talk to and quickly got to the source of the pain. The exercises I was given to build back the strength in my arm were simple and easy to do without needing any equipment.
